The wall of Cross Stones separating the rooms in St. Mary’s Church.  Built in 1247 AD, the church is part of “Matosavank” a 13th century Armenian monastery.

The origin of the "Armenian Cross Stones" dates back to the 9th century.  Throughout history, they were used in churches, monasteries and buildings, to symbolize its Christian belief; Armenia’s National Religion. To this day the tradition remains.
